jkratoch would like FESCo to look at the idea of having a repo of all debuginfo from all packages ever built for buildid issues:
"I find this rejected feature as a natural next step for making the implemented build-id feature useful https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/FeatureBuildId
but it got turned down at: all-versions Koji repository https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/2387 "
jkratoch is going to investigate other possible solutions.
For example https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=640634 uses package which I cannot find in /mash/ and it is reported as taken directly from Koji.
Bug references: kdebase-workspace-4.5.2-1.fc14
mash: http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/mash/branched-20101005/14/x86_64/os/Packages/kdebase-workspace-4.5.1-3.fc14.x86_64.rpm
mash: http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/mash/rawhide-20101005/rawhide/x86_64/os/Packages/kdebase-workspace-4.5.2-1.fc15.x86_64.rpm
If it's installed directly from koji, look for it specifically there?

This seems like a pretty corner case to me.
Replying to [comment:3 kevin]:
I know where to find it my hand. But it had many dependencies on other Koji packages failing to be installed by Koji so I have to Firefox around.
This happens, it I have spent part of today typing 24 commands according to the .bash_history, and some debuginfos still were not found anyway.
New [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Darkserver Darkserver for build-id mapping is being proposed] for Fedora infrastructure. Still it will need data from Koji for its database.
Let's talk about it at the next FESCo meeting whether FESCo can somehow encourage integration of Darkserver into the Fedora infrastructure.
FESCo has decided at 2012-12-12 meeting that this should be brought up with Fedora Infrastructure.
