#444 Review Stale & Incomplete Fedora 14 Features
Closed None Opened 13 years ago by poelstra.

The following features are not significantly complete for the Fedora 14 Alpha OR have not been updated recently OR it is unclear if they are complete enough to be sufficiently tested during the Fedora 14 Alpha.

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/CryptographyInKernel
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/Go_Programming
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/Gnome3
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/DebugPythonStacks
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/systemd
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/MultipathInstall (February 2010)

As the feature wrangler I'm requesting that FESCo review these features and determine if they should remain features of the Fedora 14 release. This action needs to be completed this week so that marketing and other messaging around the Fedora 14 Alpha is accurate.

Thank you.

Thank you. I moved the dropped features to Cateogory:FeaturePageIncomplete.

I've found it is best for the feature owner of deferred features to specifically propose the feature for a specific release when they ready vs. automatically bumping the page to the next release.

Question on https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/CryptographyInKernel

It looks like it was recently bumped to 80% complete. Was this taken into account?

Yeah, the problem there is that the kernel side needs to be merged upstream.
2.6.35 was just released, so this couldn't get merged until 2.6.36 at the very soonest, so it's unlikely to be able to land in time for f14.
