Review incomplete Fedora 13 Features for Inclusion in https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/13/FeatureList

= Overview =

As specified in our policies, features that are incomplete at the Beta milestone should be dropped from the Feature List.

= Problem space =

Feature owners are not responding to reminders and requests for updates:
* http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/devel-announce/2010-March/000592.html
* http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/devel-announce/2010-March/000594.html

= Solution Overview =

  • Remove the feature page form the Fedora 13 list or get the owner to update feature page to reflect 100% of what was completed for Fedora 13.
  • We need a list that is 100% complete when the Fedora 13 Beta is released on 2010-04-06.

= Active Ingredients =

= Owners =
* FESCo
* Individual feature owners

Fesco is going to work with feature owners to try and get everything updated to 100%.

We don't see any features above that look like they are in danger of nothing landing for f13.

Will check back on each later in the week.

I appreciate FESCo's desire to work with the feature owners, however several feature pages remain unaddressed and less than 100% complete and we are going into the second week of this being the case.

This breaks with the strong message and consistent message we've held to in the past which was if you aren't providing status updates and following the process (at 100% at Beta freeze) we drop your feature from the list. It is also inconsistent with our stated policies.

I just talked to some feature owners on irc and mailed all the rest of them one last time.
I know about 4 of them that should go to 100 today.

We can look at dropping the ones that fail to update at tomorrow's meeting.

Yes, anything that is not at 100% should be dropped at tomorrow's meeting. My original calculation was wrong... the requested updates are already late by two weeks and we should not have to waste time tracking these and continuing to hounding people. It is amazing how fast a dropped feature page gets updated. :)

Here's the status from todays meeting:

Can you update pages?
I can do it later tonight if not...

Thanks!

I'll take care of it by EOB my time. Thanks for your help.
