I raised this topic on Fedora's ML: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/P3CKVDMCQIVPJ2P55MLD4CDCVLYGBEPI/
Mesa 26.0.3 was released yesterday. Usually, once patch version 3 or 4 is released, we move it to Fedora's stable branches:
It looks like there is general agreement about bringing mesa 26.0.x to Fedora 44. Stephen Gallagher suggested to create a ticket for further discussion.
I think this makes sense to do. I think separately we should discuss adding Mesa to the exception list since it is required for hardware enablement. But that can be a different ticket.
For this one, I'll vote +1.
I've also tagged it for fast track so it can be voted on and executed before final freeze.

Not really for further discussion, but for getting an agreement recorded.
I'm +1 to landing 26.x in Fedora 44.
I really feel that in the future, we should try to land by Beta Freeze, even if we're carrying a pre-release version.
+1 to what Neal and Stephen said and +1 to landing in f44 asap.
