I would like to request an update policy exception for the package kdecoration. Note that this is a pre-emptive exception request for Plasma 6.3 where the sonames for kdecoration change in a way that breaks ABI compability.
Normally, this would technically fall under the KDE exception, except this specific library has one package that depends on it: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/applet-window-buttons. Source can be found here: https://github.com/moodyhunter/applet-window-buttons6
KDecoration is a core library for Plasma, and without it we wouldn't be able to update to 6.3. Note that 6.3 is currently in beta and I am only building on rawhide, so we're good for now. This will be a problem.
Plasma 6.3's tars are currently scheduled to be released on February 3rd.

+1
+1 in general, but have you checked whether applet-window-buttons requires patching to support this new version?
applet-window-buttons
It would yes. And upstream dont seem to have much activity so no idea if it'll be fixed. For the record, a rebuild wont help because the cmake and libraries changed. So it'll be broken one way or another.

@nicolasfella has a preliminary patch for this.
After slightly more than a week, this is: APPROVED (+7, 0, 0)
