#3280 Change: Ansible 11
Closed: Accepted 6 months ago by ngompa. Opened 6 months ago by amoloney.

Update to Ansible 11 and Ansible Core 2.18, which no longer supports Python 2.7 and Python 3.6 target nodes, including EL 7 and EL 8 hosts.

Owners, do not implement this work until the FESCo vote has explicitly ended.
The Fedora Program Manager will create a tracking bug in Bugzilla for this Change, which is your indication to proceed.
See the FESCo ticket policy and the Changes policy for more information.

REMINDER: This ticket is for FESCo members to vote on the proposal. Further discussion should happen in the devel list thread linked above.

Theres been no discussion in over a week on the post and theres enough +1 votes to potentially consider this approved. FESCo could you let me know if I can go ahead and process this change now, or if you'd prefer to discuss/vote further? Thanks!

I think we go by when this ticket was filed, so it needs to wait until next monday (so it's 1 week) or be fast tracked...

D'oh! Sorry I put this comment on the wrong ticket! :-D It was meant for https://pagure.io/fesco/issue/3274

Please ignore and Ill add this comment over there instead.

EDIT: I struck out the text in the comments about the other ticket.

After a week, this is APPROVED (+7, 0, -0)

Has a tracking bug been created for this yet? I don't see it linked on the Wiki page.
