Update createrepo_c to 1.0.0, new release will include change of default compression to zstd, no longer generating metadata in sqlite database format by default and simplified comps xml type in repodata.
Owners, do not implement this work until the FESCo vote has explicitly ended. The Fedora Program Manager will create a tracking bug in Bugzilla for this Change, which is your indication to proceed. See the FESCo ticket policy and the Changes policy for more information.

It doesn’t seem like there were any serious concerns raised in the devel list discussion, and the reduced metadata size will be a huge benefit for mirror hosts and users, especially bandwidth-constrained users.
