#2750 Change proposal: GNU Toolchain Update (gcc 12, glibc 2.35)
Closed: Accepted 2 years ago by ngompa. Opened 2 years ago by bcotton.

Note: this is a fait accompli as far as I can tell and was included in the mass rebuild. But I apparently never submitted it for reasons unknown, so I'm opening a ticket now for posterity's sake.

Update the Fedora 36 GNU Toolchain to gcc 12 and glibc 2.35.

The gcc 12 is currently under development and will be included in Fedora 36 upon release. The glibc 2.35 change will be tracked in this top-level GNU Toolchain system-wide update.

So ... do you still want our votes? For posterity's sake?

FWIW, +1, since this is already done, even if GCC 12 landed only a very short time before the mass rebuild and wreaked all kinds of havoc ...

I think we should just approve this so that it shows up on the list of accepted changes.
(FWIW, I think we would have all voted to approve this anyway, even if the schedule was short.)

+1 retroactively
