Yes i will work on updating those packages and will raise pull request for the same.

Will the pull requests be created in a way that is backward compatible (for packagers that maintain a single spec file)?

The dictionaries path would just be changed for f36 and on wards, so that won't cause problems for older releases. Also i am using the symlink approach, so the change would be backward compatible for other applications and dictionaries.
