#2642 F35 Change: Memory Constraints macros for RPM
Closed: Accepted 2 years ago by decathorpe. Opened 2 years ago by bcotton.

Introduce macros, similar to openSUSE's memory-constraints), for optionally limiting build parallelism for build-time memory-bound packages

I think this would be FPC material to a large extent… But submitting is as a Change has also advantages. At least this will be nicely visible.

FPC discussed this Change during today's meeting. Given that implementation and usage of this feature is now considerably different than what was talked about in the Change proposal, FPC has reservations about documenting it as-is.

Should we work with the Change owner, RPM and redhat-rpm-config maintainers to make the implementation and usage more in line with what was originally proposed (and something that might be able to be submitted to RPM upstream)?
