#2436 F33 System-Wide Change: OpenLDAP without Non-threaded Libraries
Closed: Accepted 3 years ago by zbyszek. Opened 3 years ago by bcotton.

OpenLDAP will not ship non-threaded version of libldap. Instead, symlinks will be provided for runtime libraries to keep working, and all software built with libldap will be effectively built with libldap_r.

+1

Side note: I would like more Change Proposals to be as concisely and clearly written as this one ...

I've tried to bring this up in the old rel-eng ticket [1], however it seems it did not drag enough attention. The change proposal itself mentions the anticipation of a mass rebuild of packages depending on libldap. It seems I am late to the party but is there any chance to still "get in"? The participation in the mass rebuild is not critically needed, however would help better implement the solution itself.

Thanks.

@mhonek just make a new build and let releng know NVR of your build so that they include it in the mass rebuild.
