Ah, I did not know about that policy. I just went ahead and added myself as co-maintainer (not admin) and built EPEL8 packages.
But let's still follow process for Fedora part.

@churchyard I could have created releng ticket and immediately close it because I can fix it myself, do you prefer me to do that?
