#2326 Delay beginning of F32 Mass Rebuild
Closed: Accepted 4 years ago by dcantrel. Opened 4 years ago by bcotton.

@mohanboddu has requested a delayed start of the Fedora 32 Mass Rebuild due to DevConf.CZ travel. The current schedule begins the mass rebuild on 22 January with the completion on or before 11 February. The request is to begin the mass rebuild on 27 January and keep all other schedule dates unchanged. RelEng believes the mass rebuild can be successfully completed within the reduced window.

+1. Doing the rebuild while everybody is in Brno will not be useful in any way.

The inevitable FTBFS issues will be a distraction from participation in DevConf.cz as well.

+1 (although we should have noticed this sooner. ;(

(But only for releng's sake, I don't think getting the FTBFS issues opened during devconf is necessarily bad - it actually allows people to talk to each other in person about their failures if needed - and can be safely ignored for almost 2 months.)

True. But this seems to happen regularly ... flock took place in the few days between the f31 mass rebuild and the f31 branch point last year, which also caused problems :)
