#2291 F32 System-Wide Change: Disallow Empty Password By Default
Closed: Rejected 4 years ago by psabata. Opened 4 years ago by bcotton.

Remove nullok parameter from pam_unix module in default PAM configuration in order to disallow authentication with empty password.

I'm not sure why people let the a change which receives copious negative feedback on fedora-devel proceed to fesco voting. I'd withdraw such a change before that happens.

-1 obviously.

-1 based on the feedback this got at devel.

Technically, this is supposed to be tagged with meeting after a negative vote.

We should probably amend the policy to allow us to use a fast-track decision as well. (e.g. -7 == instant rejection)

  • AGREED: Reject this Change and amend our policy to do an instant
    reject when ticket gets -7 (+9, 0, -0) (ignatenkobrain_, 15:51:00)
  • ACTION: zbyszek to update docs to reflect this (ignatenkobrain_,
    15:51:17)

Reopening to make sure we remember to announce the change to the voting rules.

Announced both the rejection and the change of the rules (as a note in the agenda e-mail; I think that's sufficient).
