#2261 Election Interview Questions — FESCo (Fedora 31)
Closed: Accepted 4 years ago by zbyszek. Opened 4 years ago by bcotton.

In order to move forward with the next election, we need to determine which mandatory questions FESCo would like to have asked of candidates.

We need FESCo to please identify the questions before 2019-11-13 so we can properly communicate them to candidates and so they enough time to answer them.

In case the selection is not complete by 13 November, the Election wrangler will use the same set of questions as the last election cycle (see ticket 2012).

Some additional questions are listed in the wiki, or you may come up with new ones.

I don't mind reusing the previous questions, but if there is some different proposal, I'm happy to discuss it.

For the next cycle, we could consider asking on fedora-devel for a new set, but we would need to do this two-three weeks before the deadline, to allow for enough discussion.

@zbyszek It is 2 weeks now, would you still like to do that?

Yeah, I think we should. Those questions have been reused a number of times, and even though they are still relevant, I have the feeling a refresh would be good for everyone. I'll fire off a query on fedora-devel.

OK, so there have been no replies. Let's just reuse the questions from the last time then. Since I was the only person who voiced a preference for change, I don't think we need to hold a formal vote on this.

We discussed this during the FESCo meeting 2019-11-11, and while there was some sentiment that new questions would be nice (which I share), we didn't come up with any solution. Please reuse the questions from last time.
