#1963 F29 Change: Kubernetes modules
Closed: Fixed 5 years ago Opened 5 years ago by bcotton.

(Last batch of F29 changes)

Create modules for all supported Kubernetes versions.

IIUC, modules are only partially supported by our package managers, currently only dnf. But this is the kind of software that'd be used on a server mostly, or by advanced users on a local machine for testing, so not being able to install k8s using e.g. packagekit is not a bit issue.

You are not (entirely) correct
As of about two weeks ago, we landed the necessary changes to PackageKit to be able to handle updates of modules cleanly. (It doesn't allow selecting module streams yet). So while you can't select a stream through PackageKit, as long as we specify a reasonable default stream in the repository a user can install it.

After 7 days, the vote is (+5,0). I will mark this change as accepted.
