https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/the-last-argument-of-kings
see: https://msu.edu/~williss2/carpentier/part3/ultima.html
both for some history of the phrase: as well as a translation in context
The suggestion that holding a Fedoraproject office is somehow 'imperial' in nature is just ... dead wrong
The further implication that the last resort of a monarch is to weaponry is, in the context of the Fedoraproject, again, just ... dead wrong
The version of the badge containing the verbiage:
Ultima Ratio Regum
should have that content removed, and something more along the line of Cincinnatus, such as:
I return to my farm
put into its place
I have no objection to changing it. I also have no objection to the badge being removed entirely.
Yeah I don't mind changing it either, though I'd say having a FESCo badge is pretty fun so I'd advocate for continuing to have a badge with different text.
Yep, let's keep the badge, change the text.
I love the reference to Cincinnatus and I think the text is very appropriate. Can we have it in Latin? "Revertetur ad me fundus" (not sure which of the words for farm is the most appropriate. "villae" would probably also fit but doesn't sound right here.).

Nunc, ut ad villam meam
Revertetur is awkward, and not a strong short word. Perhaps:
Now, I return to my farm
and using a form of 'villa' which looks familiar

OK, let's vote on this.
PROPOSAL: Change the text in the "fesco" badge to "Nunc, ut ad villam meam", and update the URL to to https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/nunc-ut-ad-villam-meam.
+1 obviously
+1
+1 from me.
+1 here. I also noted this issue in https://pagure.io/fedora-badges/issue/36 (the orig ticket for this badge to allow badges sig to see whats going on).
+1 from me as well
Badges are meant to be fun for everyone.
I don't see a reason to have this on the meeting agenda this week. Per our new ticket policy, this will be approved on Tuesday unless someone steps in to vote -1.
It has been more than seven days with size +1 votes and zero -1 votes. This is approved. Who wants to own pushing this through the design team?
I opened https://pagure.io/fedora-badges/issue/628. That's all from our side, let's close this.
