The nagios package has a large number of security problems outstanding. I have tried to contact the maintainer multiple times via all the methods outlined in the Fedora and attached a ping to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1005974 on 2016-10-27. It has been 2 months so I believe it is time to go through the unresponsive maintainer process.
I am willing to take the nagios and related package and get them updated to the latest tree.
I have approveacls on nagios and formerly was owner of nagios-plugins and nrpe. I have given smooge ownership of nagios-plugins and nrpe. I also have given him approveacls & commit on nagios.
I support completing the non-responsive maintainer process for affix and giving smooge ownership of nagios.
