#1415 Asking for bundled exception for review of Elasticsearch
Closed None Opened 10 years ago by jvanek.

The elastic search have bundled project - one class - Base64.java

The class is - moved into different package, and patched. Not heavily but patched is.
So I'm hesitating with simply removing it, patch all imports in elasticsearch sources and adding depndence on java-base64.

The best approach on longterm is to:
1) move changes to upstream of java-base64
2) move ES upstream to inlcude bove
3) move whole ES to use java8's base64 internal decoders/encoders

However it is long run and I can not promiss it will be accepted everywhere.

FPC generally handles bundling issues, not FESCo. Please see:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:No_Bundled_Libraries#Exceptions
and be sure to provide answers to those standard questions.

Yes, please open this over on the FPC trac.

Thanks.
