#408 Implement fedpkg update --no-bugs or --bugs-detect
Closed: Fixed 3 years ago by onosek. Opened 3 years ago by psss.

Currently if no bugs are provided on the command line fedpkg update extracts any number from the changelog. If the changelog mentions for example github issues these are then linked as bugzilla bugs which are completely irrelevant.

One solution could be to implement a --no-bugs option which would disable the autodetection. Perhaps an even better way would be to allow bug detection only upon request using --bugs-detect or similar as this seems to be a better/safer default when template editor is not launched.

Any opinion/feedback on this proposal?

Hi,
I worked on change, that can possibly impact your issue:
https://pagure.io/fedpkg/pull-request/410#
It is not released yet. Are you interested in releasing it soon?
If it works, maybe it is not necessary to fix #408.

Nice, so that means that simple #123 occurences will be no more identified as Bugzilla numbers, right? That would resolve my use case. Thanks for working on this.

Yes, it has to have at least 5 digits and specific prefix.

Great! Looking forward to the fedpkg bodhi update ;-) Thanks!
