Recently used fedpkg fork for the first time. The provided URL came to a 404 not found.

It looks like the "rpms" portion is missing, e.g.:

https://src.fedoraproject.org/fork/hobbes1069/rpms/fltk

was displayed as:

https://src.fedoraproject.org/fork/hobbes1069/fltk

Thanks for reporting this. I believe that you found already fixed issue:
https://pagure.io/fedpkg/issue/394
But it wasn't released yet.
As a workaround, you can edit .git/config file and modify the URL.
