#9 What's the reason to install `fedpkg-minimal` into mock chroot?
Closed: Invalid 6 years ago Opened 6 years ago by praiskup.

This package exists because installing fedpkg for the purpose of downloading sources from lookaside cache would bring too much dependencies into SRPM buildroot...

But why Koji builder does 'fedpkg sources' in chroot, and at the same time the 'fedpkg clone' part is done directly on host?

The same question a different way, why we don't do:

  1. builder-host: git clone
  2. builder-host: fedpkg sources
  3. builder-chroot: rpmbuild -bs

This is related to rpm-software-management/mock/issues/71, if that matters.

These are all good questions, but you should probably ask them somewhere where koji developers can see them.
