#95 website breakage, macOS Fedora Media Writer does not work
Closed: Fixed 4 years ago by chrismurphy. Opened 4 years ago by chrismurphy.

Infrastructure issue filed here:
https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/7902

I think it's appropriate for the WG to track the issue as well since this breakage is public facing on a page we're responsible for, and it hasn't worked in a while. And if infrastructure doesn't have resources to fix it sooner than later, we should discuss recruitment for help getting it fixed or removing the link.

And I just discovered websites has an issue for Fedora Media Writer also. Different version and problem, so it just means it's likely not worked for a while.

There was a Fedora Test Day for Media Writer, but by the looks of this, it wasn't tested on macOS.

Since the websites issue is eight months old, we should probably remove the Mac download immediately rather than delay in hopes it will be fixed.

Or it was suggested in the websites issue to revert to the last-working version, 4.1.1. That seems best?

Where can I can the getfedora.org (infrastructure) signed 4.1.1 to test it? I don't want to test a github one, seems likely that'd be signed by that developer, rather than Fedora.

Ok this is not the broad problem I thought it was, it was an obscure and poorly documented (by Apple) problem with the local trusted database that once reset resolved the issue. And puiterwijk has a work around that won't require asking the user to do that reset. That should be up on the website soon, and in any case since it's not as big a problem as I thought, I'm just going to close this.
