#49 Add commandline container tools
Closed: Fixed 4 years ago by catanzaro. Opened 6 years ago by mclasen.

Currently, Atomic Workstation installs a few extra container tools:

    "flatpak",
    "atomic",
    "buildah",
    "git-core",
    "rpm-ostree",
    "podman",
    "skopeo",
    "docker"

I think any of these that are missing should be added to the regular workstation.
And we should add flatpak-builder and origin-clients (thats oc etc).

In the workstation meeting today, it was agreed to add the following packages to regular Fedora Workstation for Fedora 29:

"flatpak",
"atomic",
"buildah",
"git-core",
"rpm-ostree",
"podman",
"skopeo",
"docker"

@mclasen @petersen to report on how much size flatpak-builder and origin-clients will add to the image before making a decision on those two.

@mclasen @petersen, could you please update this ticket with the current status?

(Sorry for not replying earlier.)

I see @container-management is listed in comps @workstation-product-environment and pungi-fedora/variants-fedora.xml (Workstation). But I don't see podman in F29 Live images??

(I think flatpak-builder and origin-clients can be discussed later separately, but podman is a must.
We could add docker too I suppose, as already discussed, but better to encourage people to try and use podman.)

Looks like this is resolved.
