#342 Workstation release marketing is incomplete
Closed: Won't fix 7 months ago by aday. Opened a year ago by aday.

Currently, our main publicity for each Workstation release is the "what's new in Fedora Workstation" magazine post. This tends to focus on upstream GNOME changes, as well as any changes that the Working Group are responsible for.

However, there are obviously lots of other great changes in each Workstation release, many of which are shared with other editions and spins, which we never mention. This is unfortunate - we're failing to mention a lot of the improvements and cool changes that happen every release.

We talked about this issue during this week's working group call. One option would be to see if the release notes could be started earlier, and shared with the the working group in time for us to use them as the basis of our marketing activities.

It would also be good to investigate other ways that we can gather information on the changes in each release.

@chrismurphy has an action here to ask @bcotton about the release notes.

Hi @chrismurphy, did you get a chance to look into this?

We expanded the workstation what's new post a little for F38: https://fedoramagazine.org/whats-new-fedora-38-workstation/

There's still more to do, but I'm not sure what we can realistically achieve.
