#219 gnome-documents is retired in F34: is it intended?
Closed: Fixed 3 years ago by kalev. Opened 3 years ago by kalev.

gnome-documents got retired from Fedora over Christmas due to a FTBFS issue. I've tried to ask a few times on IRC over the last months if it was intentional to let it get removed but haven't gotten any replies.

So here's my question: Do we want it resurrected in F34 and rawhide?

@rishi, what's your opinion?

I'll also note that gnome-documents (retired) and gnome-online-miners (still alive; also pulled in by gnome-photos) are the last two things that depend on tracker 2.x. I'd like to get rid of tracker 2.x for F34 so we don't ship two versions of tracker on the install media.

I wanted to retire GNOME Documents from GNOME itself. That was two years ago. However, some people had strong objections to that.

I haven't cared about it since then.

GNOME Photos has been ported to Tracker 3, but it took a while. I will look at the gnome-online-miners now.

OK, let's leave it retired then :) Thanks, Debarshi!
