#66 Automate 'edition self-identification' criterion / test case
Closed: Fixed 4 years ago by adamwill. Opened 6 years ago by adamwill.

We just introduced a new release criterion and associated test case requiring that Editions self-identify correctly (and that non-Editions do not identify as an Edition). It should be feasible to automate this test case, as its requirements are precise and relatively targeted. We can create needles for the Edition logos and check that the Edition installers do include them, and the non-Edition installers we test (Everything, KDE live) do not (and maybe also check they match a generic Fedora logo needle).

The /etc/os-release bit is of course easy to do.

Isn't that fixed already by #110 ?

Har, Current Me would like to tell Past Me where to shove his "The /etc/os-release bit is of course easy to do"...

I'd say we shouldn't close this at least until we hook up wiki reporting (even though technically that's done in fedora_openqa); that is not done yet. We should check that what we've got in place now actually fully covers the test case before wiring that up, but I think it does.

I checked that and wired it up, so we can close this.
