i changed all the bootstrap classes to reactstrap classes, so the entire project uses reactstrap only
@queeniva, I was already working on it! I've done it on my system.
ohh, am sorry about that, @lbrabec said we could work on any issue regardless of who is working on it. i will make sure to ask next time
no problem @queeniva. But I don't see any message regarding this on the mailing list. At most of the places, we do avoid working on something on which someone else is already working as it hinders the confidence of the one who's already working and also it makes do the same thing by multiple people.
I'm sorry about the confusion. I was overwhelmed by the big quantity of emails, irc and matrix messages, so I communicated this very poorly.
Together with @jskladan we decided to stop assigning issues and merging pull requests for a while. Some of the applicants joined more than week later than others and it would be hard for them to contribute. We want to get to know all the applicants and their skills.
ok, no problem. @lbrabec whats the means in which you are going to use to know the skills of the participants
@queeniva We are going to look at the code and communication provided in the assessment process based on how you (plural you, not you specifically) tackled the tickets - comparing solutions of the "same problem" by different people is an integral part of any decision-making process in the context of "hiring", and we find it especially important when looking at "intern" positions.
There can, of course, be "bonus points" if you make meaningful & reasonable PRs/comments outside of these, if you participate in reviews, or other activities outside of the "basic scope".
But at the same time, focusing on the easyfix tasks and delivering the best of your work is enough to get you fairly appraised even in the context of "more active" participants, because we are first and foremost judging on merit.
Hope that makes sense.
yea, it does. thank you
Thanks for participating in contribution period of Outreachy. This pull-request has not been selected to be merged and will be closed for housecleaning purposes. We may revisit this pull-request later, but as of now we will focus on merging pull-requests from our accepted intern.
