Ownership: We will be online during the test day on the Anaconda Matrix channel ( https://matrix.to/#/#anaconda:fedora.im ) to provide support to participating users. Also I can set up the Wiki page.
Time frame - any day on the week of August 4 - August 8. is fine for us.
Features: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/AnacondaWebUIforFedoraSpins
Are you interested in more days? We can give you the whole week, I think, there's no conflict.
Do you want to take this ticket, @amoloney ? @sumantrom

Sure @kparal if we can have a week or part of a week, we gladly accept it.
Take the whole week, then :-) Calendar entry: https://calendar.fedoraproject.org/meeting/11092/
If you want to create the wiki page yourself, that's a very appreciated help. The instructions are here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA/SOP_Test_Day_management#Create_the_Wiki_page
Please link it here once done, we'll link it in the calendar.
This is the wiki page for previous webui test day: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2024-11-11_Anaconda_WebUI_for_Fedora_Workstation
You can also see the test cases there. We'll need to set up the testday app, so please tell me if you want to keep the same set of test cases, or add/remove some. Maintained anaconda testcases are in our installation matrix. There are more testcases in installer category (see subcategories), but many of them might be very outdated, so they'd either need updating, or creation of a brand new one.
Thanks.

If somebody wants to take care of the announcements, that would help a lot.

FedMag Pitch https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/pitch-anaconda-web-ui-installer-for-spins-and-editions-test-days-august-4-8-2025/161308
Thanks. I have an email announcement already scheduled, and I'll try to not forget about a Discussion post when the test week starts.

Note https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2385306 might be a problem for this.
@kkoukiou You sent the fixed build today, so we'll be able to verify whether it worked or not in the next compose, most probably tomorrow, which is a weekend. Do you want me to keep these test days scheduled as they are, or move them e.g. starting from Tuesday, just in case if the compose fixes don't turn out to work as expected?
@kparal the fix is included in https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2025-2367991b68 I tested one random spin (Cinnamon) by installing latest 'anaconda' package in the live environment before starting the Installer and the behavior is as expected. I think it's safe to keep the days as is.
Is there a way in your Open QA infra to create Spin ISO images so that we can verify the bodhi update linked above?
Good idea. This should be a Live image built by OpenQA for KDE: https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/tests/3578989/asset/iso/03577909-Fedora-KDE-Live-x86_64-FEDORA-2025-2367991b68.iso
I tested it and it contains anaconda-43.33-1.fc43 and the webui starts fine [1]. So hopefully it should be OK even in the official compose.
[1] I see this SELinux error pop up, but anaconda started fine:
type=AVC msg=audit(1754047032.63:224): avc: denied { open } for pid=1 comm="systemd" path="/tmp/webui-cockpit-ws.env" dev="tmpfs" ino=53 scontext=system_u:system_r:init_t:s0 tcontext=unconfined_u:object_r:user_tmp_t:s0 tclass=file permissive=1
The test day ran fine, and I exported results to wiki, we can close this.
