#737 [F39] Third Party Apps Test Day
Opened a year ago by sumantrom. Modified 2 months ago

@ngompa proposed this [0] and I would love to see this added to the regular cadence as part of Test Days 2.0. Indeed a lot of our uses play games, watch movies on VLC , use VSCODE and many more such software. Having a community event around these and making sure all works well before taking the leap of faith (aka upgrading) sounds like a legit thing.

This also means we will need to add a few additional rows in the desktop release validation matrix.

Apps we think should benefit from testing:

Steam
Chrome
VS Code
VLC

@ngompa, we can run this on last week of sept or October first week... are you still interested in this?

We should also add Microsoft Edge into the mix, since you can use it to use GamePass game streaming on Linux.

VSCODE, Edge, VLC,Steam, Chrome[stable+unstable],chromium and steam .. lets kick start off these on 7th of October ... makes sense?

This still seems like a good idea. Can we bump the idea to F40 or F41?
