#684 Make a Bugzilla how-to video
Opened 2 years ago by adamwill. Modified a month ago

This is an idea from the F35 QA Retrospective, particularly from @ahmedalmeleh 's feedback (thanks Ahmed!)

The idea is to make a video to demonstrate common Bugzilla operations for new contributors - filing a bug, searching existing bugs, maybe adding attachments, things like that. I'm not sure of the best way to distribute it, I guess put it on a video sharing site and post to the mailing list and blogs about it, and include it in the pages we direct new contributors to?

We could do similar videos for other things (update testing, for e.g.) if this works out well.

@sumantrom volunteered to work on this, so I'll assign it to him. Thanks sumantro!

Hum, actually, it looks like it was @bcotton who expressed interest on-list, so tagging him too. Sumantro, Ben, do you want to share this one, or what? Thanks!

I'm planning (at some point) to do a video on the housekeeping tasks for the PgM team. I'm happy to make another that's more general-purpose. I'm fine with doing it myself or sharing the work with @sumantrom in some way.

I suggest we do the docs first and share that around for the community to see which parts we should focus on for the video.

Couldn't agree more @bcotton . I will try to create a first draft and run it by you? I am experimenting with OBS at this point. I might record a bunch of videos. I actually wanted to get some tangible things done over the winter. @bcotton , let's sync up over IRC!

@sumantrom are you still interested in this idea?
