#626 [F33] GNOME Test Day
Closed: Fixed 3 years ago by sumantrom. Opened 3 years ago by sumantrom.

GNOME Megaupdate usually has a lot of new features and we would like to run a Test Day. As GNOME is Fedora's default release blocking DE, this tracker will track changes, possible feature test cases and test day details for F33 cycle.

Discussed at last week's Workstation WG meeting: "maybe 19 August"

A few items not ordinarily in the test day, but have recently been discussed as a good time to do them:

  • package set review
  • enabled services review
  • establish image max size, i.e. the size we'd block release on

@chrismurphy I am marking 19th Aug as the set date.
Did the GNOME megaupdate drop already?
I will take the points aforementioned for the test day

Look like megaupdate will happen by August 16.

Can you all confirm the date is 19 Aug as final?
I am working on a Fedora Magazine post for greater visibility and will be better if I the date can be confirmed. Thanks

I'm just back from PTO. I'll confirm the date later today after updating GNOME packages and testing the current state of F33.

Thanks a lot. Let me know!

OK, I've got most of GNOME packages updated now and things seem to be roughly working. I think we can go ahead with the test day on August 19.

Thanks @Kalev Lember klember@redhat.com , I will schedule the magazine

@kalev the magazine post is out and a community blog will follow

Are we getting a test day-specific image or can we just update the 20200811?

Just a regular nightly image is fine. I'll add a link to the wiki page.
