#13 TestDay for yum-presto 2009-04-16
Closed: Fixed None Opened 15 years ago by jhutar.

Hello,[[BR]]
we have started planning yum-presto test day and would like to use date 2009-04-16 for it.

Thank you in advance,[[BR]]

Apologies for the delay ...

I have moved the above test day wiki page into the "Test Day" wiki namespace which allows for anonymous test feedback (see https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:Presto_2009-04-16).

You are all clear for 2009-04-16 (this Thursday). The test day wiki page you have drafted looks great! If I may make a few suggestions/contributions:

  • Are you open to creating ''official'' wiki test case pages for the tests you've identified? I can assist with this effort. What I'd be interested in seeing is:
    1. A list of wiki-style test cases (for example https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:AnacondaStorageRewrite_2009-04-14#Test)
    1. The tests included in a yum-presto sub category under https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Category:Test_Cases

  • Communication - We plan to communicate your event to fedora-test-list, fedora-devel-list, fedora forums and on fedora planet. Are there any other areas you feel we should communicate this event. Are there any upstream yum or yum-presto development groups that we could entice to join. Is this something that other distributions might benefit from testing?

  • Live images - are you in need of live images for testing? These greatly increase the participation from testers. Please advise.

  • Live images[[BR]]

We are going to upgrade from F11BETA to snapshot1 (I hope that its like todays nightbuild). When live image is booted could you upgrade system or any package? are there some space for it? if we couldn't upgrade we didn't need it.

Sure, nice. For now I have created:

I'll try to add more later.

These fedora mailing lists should be enough. Thank you.

We do not these - we will ask everybody to test F11 Beta to F11 Snap1 upgrade (I think you can not do it with LiveCD or if you can, it would bring unrelated issues IMO).

Thank you once again,
Jan

Jan ... thank you for your tremendous efforts driving this test day topic. We've received positive feedback from development for your efforts. I am closing out this ticket.
