Hmm, this can be tested quite easily, so I guess it doesn't present a huge risk if we take this in. At the same time, I don't feel too comfortable swapping the file picker shortly before the release. I guess I'll vote +1 when we can actually try it and see that it works well.

I'm a little leery based on the bugs mentioned in the linked report, plus it feels a bit like a big change to do with a FE a little before release. But it would also be nice to have a fully featured picker in Firefox on KDE. I guess that makes it a bit of a wash for me.

The decision to classify this bug as an "AcceptedFreezeException (Final)" was made as it would be a substantial improvement for KDE users and affect the live images, but we expect thorough testing before pulling in the change.
