It does not seem to be universally reproducible. I'm open to being +1 if we can find a reliable reproducer.
Not only that this issue is not fully reproducible, but trying to do such things has a little sense and real life value.
I agree that software should be bulletproof, but adding four different events that span over several months (which works for me by the way) seems like a totally unrealistic scenario because nobody would use the calendar in this way. In my world, people use calendars not to forget about things that appear on an irregular basis, such as "going to school for the first time" (one day event), but not things that repeat every day for a long period of time, such as "going to school" that is spanned over the entire semester and blocking the calendar for any other, more important event (because the important events will cease to be easily visible and identifiable).
This is not basic functionality.
I'm afraid I really can't agree with you here,I think there are many people like me who are so busy with all kinds of stuff to remember an event they do weekly or even daily. For example,I'm too busy with work yesterday to remember go to join a class, which I attend almost everyday for about month. I use Calendar's alarm to remind me that it's time to do another thing when I'm addicted to some thing
