The fact that this only affects a keyboard shortcut, and doesn't affect the regular click-click approach in Settings, means our criteria don't match that well. We of course have the basic functionality requirement for Settings:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_38_Final_Release_Criteria#Default_application_functionality

If the crash was directly in Settings, I believe that would be a clear blocker. The keyboard shortcut is exactly that, a shortcut to avoid clicky-click in Settings, so it could be seen as an extensions of the GUI, but that might be contentious. The other thing to consider is that this shortcut might not be known by a large portion of users, so this affects only some part of them.

On the other hand, losing the whole session is very bad. And this is likely to happen exactly when you want to avoid it most, i.e. when during a presentation when you connect the projector and want to mirror/extend displays.

I'm currently leaning closer to blocking on this. What do you think?

Based on your comments, I'm also leaning toward +1. Is this 100% repeatable across different setups?

I'll be able to test in the office on Thursday, currently this is my home setup. I'd like to see others providing their test results.

Correct, in my case I have replicated it in Rawhide, but I remember that it also comes out under Fedora 38, and this prevents me from easily modifying the projection configuration to the second monitor.

I'll wait for more information on this.

Easily reproducible on my setup.

I'm OK with counting this as 'basic functionality' of Shell or control-center. As a general principle, Shell should not crash when you use its features.
