FinalBlocker -1

I can reproduce this bug and it's very annoying, but it's also very easy to work around it and stretches the basic functionality criterion too far IMO.

I feel like this is more basic than the "Move to..." "Copy to..." issue we accepted as a blocker.

FinalBlocker +1

I'm following nielsenb line of thought.

FinalBlocker +1

I don't think I can vote on this with a cool head, so I'll abstain. At the same time, I don't agree with "it's also very easy to work around it", because it took me a long time to figure out how to do it. Yes, it's simple once you know it, but that's not the point, users will not know.

FinalBlocker 0

I must try real hard to be able to reproduce the bug on my system. My hands are probably not that fast, so I do not have any problems dragging files. Therefore I rather see it as a niché bug.

FinalBlocker -1

After testing this some more, I'll actually change my vote:

FinalBlocker +1

I'm not certain that this would pass the "last blocker at Go/No-Go" test, but it's definitely poor behavior.

FinalFE +1
FinalBlocker 0

Maybe also add it to Prioritized Bugs?

This one seems really hard since how severe it is seems to depend on your click-and-drag technique. I couldn't reproduce it one time doing click-and-drag 'normally', I had to force myself to do it 'very fast'. But it's pretty hard to guess how many people will run into this with their 'normal' technique and how much it will annoy them...

AGREED AcceptedFinalBlocker

Discussed during the 2023-03-13 blocker review meeting: [0]

The decision to classify this bug as an "AcceptedBlocker (Final)" was made as a violation of the "basic functionality" criterion for nautilus, in the case of impatient people who like to move the mouse real fast.
