Maybe we could do an interview run with various SIG leaders? Share your thoughts here.
I think is a great idea. There are tons of SIGs, so we need to figure it out the most active ones and then start contacting people and ask them if they like to be interviewed.
I'm going to start a running list in the repo of ideas, but to get them on that list, post them here. To start out, how about KDE sig, with @ngompa ?
Sure, why not?
Okay, I'm going to make you into an issue @ngompa
issue #8
Great!
I propose either @defolos and/or @jflory7 and/or @nasirhm and/or @odilhao from the i3 SIG
Sure, a i3 sig episode sounds good to me! However, we should make sure to balance the people we interview, with the questions we have some them. For instance, we don't want all those people on, and then they each get one question. I'm going to file a new issue of a i3 sig interview.
I would be interested with the Ham Radio SIG, but I don't know who to talk to about that.
Fedora Astronomy SIG perhaps? Could be an audio version of https://fedoramagazine.org/astrophotography-with-fedora-astronomy-lab-setting-up/ .
I'd like to also propose - @dustymabe of the Fedora Cloud SIG - Someone from the Python SIG
You can reach out to @churchyard for Python SIG stuff.
Some other SIGs of interest:
Ah, and Go SIG: @alexsaezm or @jcajka
@ngompa don't forget, I can complain about Java stuff for hours as well ;)
Right yes, @decathorpe is the Java SIG guy too.
@jbwillia would be good to ask about Ham Radio. I am involved with it, but don't know how much I'd have to say.
Maybe @jbwillia and I both could have a joint interview or something
Cool idea, give us a few episodes to clean up the backlog of ideas and we'll get back to you! @nb
Some other SIGs of interest: LXQt SIG and Deepin DE SIG: @zsun
I can talk about LXQt SIG.
For Deepin DE SIG, I need to discuss with @cheeselee to decide if we can do this, as I am not heavily involved in the technical stuff for Deepin DE recently.
By the way, please put me in a lower priority, as I'm pretty busy with my day job since last year and probably cannot respond to tickets in a timely manner.
P.S. I don't call myself anything like 'SIG manager'. I call myself a coordinator 😉
Sure, why not! I can waffle on for hours if you let me ;-)
Sway SIG: @defolos
I am not very active in the sway SIG to be frankly honest, I'd suggest @jstanek, @thofmann or @alebastr instead.
Wow! This idea has exploded way more than I guessed it would!
I would love to be a part of it :D
This is a great discussion, but to talk about it more, could we move i3 sig interview specific comments into issue number #10 please? @defolos @nasirhm @jflory7 @odilhao @x3mboy
It would probably be a good idea to talk to one of the QA SIG folks: @adamwill, @kparal, or @sumantrom.
Oh and @coremodule :)
Can we put this in a list less definitive, like a hackmd or something? My idea is to close this ticket
The main advantage of the ticket is that you can tag people to ask them if they're interested.
Yeah, so the point of this ticket is to generate ideas, get people connected, and break individual interviews out into their own tickets. I don't think we should close this unless we don't want to create any more idea, and close the arc of SIG interviews.

As this is an older ticket, I am closing it and moving the idea to a backlog in the Docs section.
