Time for another meeting! :)

Please add any topics or discussion items...

I'd like to find out about the status of the kernel. There is a package I'd like to use for the modem https://gitlab.com/mobian1/devices/eg25-manager but the kernel we use now would need a patch or two to remove items conflicting with this package.

Curious if anyone else has been doing much with the Pinetab. I got it booting the other day but that was about the end of it. I think a few bugs are already in the works for that though.

I continue to update mmsd in copr. It has been updated now to be independent and can now send messages as well as receiving. This is another reason I wonder about kernel stuff because with the megi kernel I can't use mmsd (works over mobile data) when wifi is active. I have to disable wifi to use it.

We need a ModemManager build in another way, as the current one in Fedora repo doesn't work for us. Can we maybe have another ModemManager-mobile build ?

(btw - bloody annoying with the cap'd chars - especially since companion apps is not cap'd - it makes searching in dnf a pita)

We need people to help bringing in plasma-mobile (packaging). Since we do already have full plasma desktop in repo, it is only few apps, and some setups.

I have for some time tried to build Workstation nightly images; but sound fails on them. There seems to be some kind of error in the Fedora base image - that make switching audio when a call happens, not working. I apply (and remove) same package set for both Minimal and Workstation nightlies - and it works fine on Minimal images

BTW even with fixed ModemManager incoming SMS is not fixed - they may be(semi) lost.
No idea about mms yet

We currently uses Megi kernel - that implies using his kernel driver modem-power that does a good job for us. However, that might not be possible for megi to upstream, as they don't want such specific device drivers.
What do we do In Fedora in future ? Accept this kernel driver into ARM64 kernels - or go with Debian eg25-manager user-space driver ?
