How often will this event occur? Also, that seems like it would be a good piece of information to include in the article.
Great catch! Yes, we are planning to running once each release some weeks before the next release.
The rationale here is described in the discussion but basically is because it gives time to have your desktop already configured with all your configs, taking into account that from time to time people do fresh installs instead of upgrading and all configs need to be done again.
