@rlengland I have been busy with job search and college stuff the last few days, so I haven't been able to actually write it yet.

I expect I will have a lot of free time in June and I will be able to finally write the article.

Just an update, I have started writing this today.

Is it fine if I link to some Red Hat docs to explain what PAM and authconfig is? (basically I quote a section of the page, link to it and explain why it's important).

I'm not very sure how to explain sssd and Active Directory though.

In any case I should have a good enough draft between today and tomorrow.

Ok, I read it.
It looks pretty good. It seems to solve both the parts where I was a bit unsure (mostly around sssd and Active Directory) but also improves the wording in some other parts.
IMHO it should be good to go.
