#263 Fedora backpacks available
Closed: published by rlengland. Opened by rlengland.

At HELLOTUX we made Fedora laptop backpacks, and I’d like to write a short article about them.

There is also an ongoing promotion (4 Fedora shirts or sweatshirts + a free Fedora laptop backpack).

@kumgabor Have you had an opportunity to write your article about your promotion?

@rlengland It will be ready this weekend. Thank you.

Thank you for the patience, @rlengland.
I'm ready and saved it as a draft here: https://fedoramagazine.org/?p=39893&preview=true&preview_id=39893
Feel free to change anything, I'm not a native English speaker.
Thanks.

@kumgabor I've made a few edits to your article so it would be good for you to check it one more time.

A question for you. in the last section it says:
"When ordering four or more shirts now, your laptop backpack is a gift to you."

The "now" is unclear. I assume that there will be a time limit to this offer and that was your intention. If that is the case i suggest that we change this to read:
"When ordering four or more shirts, at this time, your laptop backpack is a gift to you."
or perhaps better would be:
"For a limited time, when ordering four or more shirts, your laptop backpack is a gift to you."

Another idea might be to specify a final date for the end of the offer, if you have one or wish to set one. But I will leave that up to you.

Or,... I may have completely missed your idea. :-) Let me know if I can help clarify in some way.

Thank you for the corrections, @rlengland.
We bought a stock of these laptop backpacks with a big discount. Until it lasts, we can give them away as a gift, but they will be available later too.
What do you think, how should I communicate this?

I would suggest using the following.
"While our current supply lasts, when ordering four or more shirts, your laptop backpack is a gift to you."
Your web page will change when the current supply runs out and that will be a signal that the regular pricing will resume.

Perfect! Thank you.

@rlengland, may I ask you to remove two words from the post, please? I can't edit it.

"Linux clothes specialist HELLOTUX~~, from Europe,~~ has been making Fedora shirts..."

According to the feedback, people in the US are confused about shipping from Europe to the US. They don't know that it is fast and easy and no customs paperwork is needed.

Once published it requires an editor to make changes. I've deleted "from Europe".
Now you may carry on welcoming everyone to the global economy.

Thank you. I didn't think that these two words can make such a confusion.

Nor did I, though sometimes export/import and taxation regulations in various countries can be an issue. Perhaps questions might have been expected.

Yes, you are right. There are some more difficult cases, but from the European Union to the US it is easy.
