@odisej I have "scanned" your article and I noted three things.

  • It should have an introductory paragraph that can be displayed with the article. This is used by the magazine and other venues and serves as a "teaser" to draw the readers initial interest and give them an idea if they wish to continue reading. You can look at some of the existing articles for examples. It could be something as simple as: "This is an article about my journey to finding and configuring Emacs as a writer's text editor and the results of my journey." I'm certain you can do better. :-)

  • Text that indicate commands or specific file names or directory locations are best italicized rather than enclosed in quotes.

  • There are no subheadings in the article and it would be good to use them to introduce specific settings are features that are being described.

Note that I changed the configuration settings you included to "preformatted" style to conform the the style for the magazine. You can read about the style suggestions here.

From my first quick read-through it looks pretty good.

Hello @odisej
When you have time, if you can address the 3 items in my previous message we can move forward with publishing your article.

Thanks for volunteering to write for the Magazine.

Hello @odisej . I've taken a pass through your article to address the Intro paragraph, the italicization, and the subheadings.

Can you take a few moments to read through the article to proof read once more before publishing?

We'll wait for your approval before taking any further action.

Thanks again.

@odisej Have you had a chance to review your article one last time? We can publish if it meets your approval.
