#18 Hybrid Graphics Tutorial
Opened 3 years ago by glb. Modified a year ago

Following the tutorial line, I suggest writing about computers with hybrid graphics and the best way to configure it (in fedora). I recently bought a laptop with this configuration (intel / nvidia) and had problems with nouveau and intel. I then installed the proprietary nvidia drive, but it requires other software, such as bumblebeed. I found the instructions in the fedora documentation, but the magazine was the first place I looked.

I also think that having a position of people involved in the fedora project on this subject, as future improvements, would be nice to the users who follow the magazine.

Passing by to ask: is this topic relevant anymore? With Workstation hybrid graphics work out of the box with switcheroo, and in cases where a user might want to temporarily disable their card (which is only ever useful for the 10 series), there's envycontrol and supergfxctl.

Should we close this or just wait for someone to ever update this?

Moving this article to the "stalled" category. It can be opened if someone feels the topic is relevant or they want to take it in a different but related direction.
