#171 Fedora Kernel 6.2 Test Week and i18n Test Week
Closed: scheduled a year ago by rlengland. Opened a year ago by rlengland.

We have the Fedora Kernel 6.2 (release kernel for F38) test week starting 4th March, followed by Fedora 38 I18n test week; and I will be putting up a draft post by 28th. I at this moment request a slot for the same. Thanks a LOT in advance

@sumantrom Are these two separate test weeks or concurrent test weeks.

Since the starting date (4 March) is a Saturday, I assume you will want this published some time before that. How far in advance would you like this? We have articles scheduled for 1 March and 3 March but I believe we can juggle the schedule. (@glb ?)

From what I've seen in the past, they may not have things ready much beforehand. It might be better to send this (these?) out the day (days?) they actually start. It is unfortunate that they chose a start day that ins't one of our normal publishing days, but these have always been somewhat oddball publications for this blog.

Also, I might pin Friday's article so that this doesn't knock it down from the limelight before its time.

Hey folks!!

I noticed March 3 had a posting schd. I just drafted https://fedoramagazine.org/wp-admin/post.php?post=37969&action=edit

Its actually very true, many of these test day rely on building images which will contain the latest version. I usually start with kernel which needs the Image. GNOME, I18n and DNF5 all can be tested in latest f38 from compose, which is ready even today. In those cases, we may not need to wait but we gotta have everything wired up and complete which usually happens a day before or two. Needless to say, magazine drives a LOT of traffic to these test day and we get a LOT of hits! Thanks to you guys, the influx of contributors has almost doubled in the last few releases.
