Oops. Something didn't take. It's yours @mxanthropocene

Thank you for the opportunity to write another article! 😁 Here's the preview!

https://fedoramagazine.org/?p=37203&preview=1&_ppp=46846cf53e

Does anyone have anything they want to add to the "Also check out..." section? Any cool happenings in the Fedora world as of late? Events coming up, cool new packages in F37, etc?

The article looks great, thanks @mxanthropocene !

Checking through it, I spotted a small number of accuracy issues:

"The list view has been re-architected to support rubber-band selections."

Rubber band selection has always been possible. It's just that it hasn't always been easy to initiate. The new version has gutters on each side of the list which help with this.

"Files now integrates with Disks, allowing you to easily format a drive just by right-clicking it in the sidebar."

That's not a new feature. :)

"Software places the package source selector in a more convenient location."

It might be worth mentioning that the source selector has also been redesigned - it hasn't just been moved.

Oh, and it might be good to link to the GNOME 43 release notes, in case anyone wants more information: https://release.gnome.org/43/

Thanks for the feedback @aday , I've edited the article appropriately -

"The list view has been re-architected to support rubber-band selections."

Is now: "The list view has been re-architected to make rubber-band selections easier."

"Files now integrates with Disks..."

Is now: "Files once again integrates with Disks..."

"Software places the package source selector in a more convenient location."

Is now: "The package source selector in Software has been redesigned and moved to a more visible location."

I've added a link to the GNOME 43 release notes: "Check out the GNOME 43 release notes for more information!"

Let me know what you think :)

Thanks, @mxanthropocene ! That sounds great.

The only one I'd question is:

"Files once again integrates with Disks..."

We've integrated with disks for, like, forever, so it seems a bit strange to mention this at all. Nothing changed.

Oh? I heard that it was removed and then re-added. https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2022/08/gnome-43-file-manager-improvements

I'll just remove that line - thanks again for the feedback!

@mxanthropocene Do you consider this article ready to go? Plan is to publish with the release on 15 Nov. Editing is done unless you have any changes.

Thanks for your work.

@rlengland I can't see anything in need of changing so I think it's good to go :)

Thanks for the opportunity again to write this article!

Can we please populate https://fedoramagazine.org/whats-new-fedora-37-workstation/ ? It's the link that's offered to people by gnome-software before upgrade, and currently it's 404.

I published it. Sorry for overlooking this.
