Closed: scheduled 2 years ago by rlengland. Opened 2 years ago by rlengland.

Article Summary:
I am going to make the case that if you use EPEL as part of your organization’s infrastructure, you have an interest in keeping those packages available and as secure as they can be.

Article Description:
Here’s a link to my first draft in HackMD! 1 Please leave comments on how I can make this better or what I should change to fit in with the rest of the Magazine.

@joseph I've done a review and edit pass on your article and made a few changes. Please look it over and make certain I haven't mis-represented anything.

The only issue I found was the link to the bullet item "What’s EPEL, and how do I use it?" It is currently pointing to:
https://www.redhat.com/en/blog/whats-epel-and-how-do-i-use-it
But I'm not able to access that site.

Also, if you have any idea of images or types of images you would like to see for the feature image, let me know. Otherwise I'll dream something up.

For that link, it unfortunately looks broken at the top of the website, but if you scroll down you'll see the blog post. If it's still not showing for you or you would rather not link to a web page like that, we can remove that link with no problem.

I don't have any preferences for pictures because I'm not sure what to use for something as abstract as EPEL. I trust whatever you can come up with!

@joseph Your article is scheduled to be published 7 Sep. 08:00 UTC
Thanks for contributing to the Fedora Magazine.

Thanks for publishing the article!

Unfortunately the EPEL survey has closed now, so the EPEL SIG asked for the link to the survey in the article be removed. Is that something I can do, or can someone from the Magazine team remove the link?

@joseph I've removed the line introducing the survey. See if the edit is adequate. Let us know if you would like this changed further.

Thanks.
