@darknao: Do you want to be listed as a coauthor for this article?

Thanks Francois. It looks like someone beat me to adding you to the list of authors. ๐Ÿ™‚

Does anyone have any ideas for the cover image?

Well, this looks pretty close to being ready to publish. I think all it really needs is a cover image and the editors can take care of that. So I'm going to go ahead and move this to "review" status and schedule it for this Friday the 29th. If this isn't ready to go out, speak up now or forever hold your peace. ๐Ÿ™‚

Scratch that, it looks like #114 was scheduled for the 29th but somebody didn't set the date on the card. ๐Ÿ™‚

So I'll bump this back to Monday the 2nd of May.

If I were going to use that, I think I'd crop it so that the center row of books was the majority of the background. I'd probably use the perspective filter to make it look like it was a straight-on view of the shelf. And I'd add just enough blur that the labels wouldn't be readable. I think it could be done, but it might take a little work to get something that looks decent. (IMO)

I think it is OK. But I also think there is room for a little improvement if you feel like fussing with it a bit more. ๐Ÿ™‚

This one has a little bit of a contrast problem. The letters are crossing both dark and light regions of the background image. One thing you can do in this sort of situation is to use an outline instead of a drop shadow. In this case, I'd use a thin dark outline around the light-colored text. The option to add the outline should be available in the "Stroke and Fill" panel. With text, the "fill" is the color of the text and the stroke (if enabled) will add an outline around the letters. Just my 2ยข. ๐Ÿ™‚ IMO, it is good enough in its current form.

Also, "Fedora Docs" looks to be slightly off-center with respect to "Improvements". To ensure that all the text is centered properly, you can enter all the lines in a single text box and then select the center justification option on the toolbar.

Centering was done as you descibed. I've added the strokes.

Centering was done as you described.

I guess it was an optical illusion created by the drop shadow then. ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, LGTM. Thanks!
