Hello, there my name is Amanuel from Ethiopia. I wanted to contribute to fedora localization, specifically my native language called "Afaan Oromo" or orm in language code. This is new and couldn't find it here to participate in translating it. I request if it's possible to add this so that we can participate in translating the language.
Thank you
Hello elhanan, your language has the code 'om' in Weblate. Also I can see that you were added to the l10n group in Fedora Accounts. Enjoy your translating!
If you wanted to change the language code from 'om' to 'orm' please open a new issue.

@peartown thank you for replying and yeah after a while I found that my native language has been added to weblate as 'om' which is the language code for 'Afaan Oromo' based on ISO 639-1 and 'orm' is the updated one which specified on ISO 639-3. I will open another issue for that as you said. But for a while, my friends and I can start translating.
I can see that only 4 strings from just 1 project (anaconda) have been translated in Weblate to 'om' so far.
However, I tend to consider this issue as solved. Unless there are any arising problems on the Weblate (translation platform) side, please note the issue will be closed in 2 weeks time.
Yes, we encountered some problems regarding some tech words which haven't been expressed in our language, therefore my team and I thought to communicate with linguists and have a discussion on common terms, and it will be easy for us to translate afterward.
Ok, no problem I think it would be best to deal with the translation and I will raise these things after we translate many projects.
Afaan Oromo language is avaiable under the 'om' code in Weblate.

Sorry I thought this issue have been closed, currently, we are working on 'om' so yeah this won't an issue anymore.
No problem, it stayed open as I didn't find time to do issues' housekeeping.
