EncFS is insecure and unmaintained. It is used in Plasma Vault and having it preinstalled will make people use it.
It is no dependency of other packages, removing it just removes it, and as an alternative CryFS is also installed. GoCryptFS is currently not packaged in Fedora, there only is a COPR. This is another issue, as gocryptfs seems the most active of the three.

This is pulled by https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/plasma-vault/blob/rawhide/f/plasma-vault.spec#_34. Removing it right now would probably break users that use it, so we would need to have it happen in F41, maybe with a Fedora Change request to announce it.

gocryptfs is listed in https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/plasma-vault/blob/rawhide/f/plasma-vault.spec#_35 but is not in Fedora anymore so this should be removed.

Removing gocrpyptfs: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/plasma-vault/pull-request/2
It doesn't sound like the change request was able to happen in time. Do you want to punt this F42?
